Adia's First Day of School!!

This long awaited.....dreaded day has finally come.
My oldest starting her first day of school...
preschool that is.
Even though it is preschool, it doesn't make
it any easier.
I have been with her every since she has been born
with the exception of when she has stayed with grandparents,
family members or friends.
She is my most adventurous in that aspect,
I guess because she is the oldest,
the first grandchild on both sides maybe,
I'm not really sure, but she is always off or
visiting someone.
Therefore I didn't think this transition would be
too tough for us.

Showing off her new backpack that
Aunt Audrey bought for her!!!

Of course, during every photo shoot lately
she has to make silly faces!!  Hahaha!!

Happy girl!!!

She loved the first day of school!!
But hated the second day!!
She apparently had a meltdown while she was there.
I think it was just too overwhelming for her little
self to take so much change in all at once.
She actually got in the car and said she wasn't going back
the next day!!  Hahaha!!
But the third day was great!!
I DID have to bribe her to get out of the
van that morning but no tears so SCORE!!!
Now she looks forward to it!!
Every time I pick her up she
says, "Mom, I didn't cry today!!"

As you can see, now we have no problems!!
Two weeks in and she is loving it!!
I can't believe this time has come
but I will admit that I am enjoying the
little extra time with my boys in the mornings!!

Thankful Thanksgiving

It definitely seems like every year we have more and more
to be thankful for.
I try my best to be thankful for SOMETHING everyday,
not just trying to remember everything all in 30 days of one month out of the year.
But it is easy for life to pull you in fifty million directions all at once and
to really lose sight of the many blessings that surround us daily,
so it is nice to take Thanksgiving and pay honor to God for all that we
have to be thankful for!!!

This year I got the babes into it and explained to them about
being thankful for things and Thanksgiving.
(I didn't explain the whole origin of Thanksgiving.  We will probably do that next year.
Mine are just so young right now.  It was enough to get them to sit down for this one craft!!)

We made a Wall of Thanks!!
Children are so simple minded!!
I love it!!!

Kasen is thankful for Mommy & Daddy, Baby Milk, Dancing,
Kaleb & Adia, Snacks and Blankies.
(It doesn't take much to make him happy!)

Kaleb is thankful for Daddy, Thomas the Train, Color, Bubble Bath and
Popcorn.

Adia is thankful for Kasen and Kaleb, Nonna, Flowers, Mac and Cheese,
Tape, Coloring, Paper, Grass and Underwear.
(Whatever makes you happy!! Ha!! But underwear, really?!)

It was really cute for A and K to tell me what they were thankful for.

Thanksgiving Day we went to my grandparents house.
We are beyond thankful for them.
They love my children so much and it makes my heart so happy
that they are so active in their lives.

This was Kase's 1st Thanksgiving!!

And he had his first "no baby food" meal!!

What I am most thankful for!!!
My 4 loves!!

After we stuffed ourselves, we went outside to run off
some of the calories we had just consumed!!
I love my grandparent's yard!!
I remember playing in it when I was young.
All the pecan trees, the pine straw that has fallen....
so many memories.

This was definitely an amazing Thanksgiving!!!
So many blessings have been poured out on my life.
We have been through so many trials at times, but they just make
me realize how important it is to take time and really reflect on what we
truly have to be thankful for!!
Happy Thanksgiving!!

The Story of our Big (Little) Blessing

Most don't know this, well not until recently that is,
one year ago, Mike and I went in for our ultrasound to see how our surprise baby was
developing and how big it was. We would have typically found out the sex at this
visit but had decided not to since this baby was already such a funny little whoops for us!

We went in saw our beautiful baby, were excited, then Mike left to go to work while I finished up the appointment.

I went in to see my ob and got the most heart breaking news I could ever hear.(Second to when we found out we had a miscarriage the first time we ever got pregnant.)

"There is a possibility that your baby could have a birth defect or down syndrome. We need you to go see a specialist."

I was broken in that moment.

My insides ached.

I called Mike as soon as I had composed myself and made it out of the office.

I told my mother in law, my sister, my best friend and our church prayer warriors were

privately praying for us...but no one else knew about it.

I prayed so hard and then God washed my soul over with complete peace and I let it go.

I knew that He was in control of my life and that He works all things together
for good, no matter what the outcome may be.

2 weeks later we went in for our appointment, on Mike's 26th birthday, and they did a Level 2 ultrasound.

It was actually quite amazing!!

We saw every part of our baby in detail excluding the bottom because we really wanted to keep that a surprise (although we saw it accidentally for all of 2 seconds!)

And every trace of cysts that had been on our baby's brain had completely vanished!!! There was no sign of where they had even been!!

Hallelujah to the Lamb of God!
I can still feel His presence as I did that day when we got the news!!!

7 months later here we are with the biggest blessing God has ever given us,
a perfect, happy, wonderful baby boy!!!

Lil' K has been my heart every since they said the words, "It's a boy!!"

My heart overflows with the love and joy I have for this child because he is a daily reminder of God's love and faithfulness towards me.

Happy 7 months my Baby Love!!!

October's Last Hoorah 2012!!!

Here is a re-cap of our last week and a half!!!
I don't know how much more fun we could have tried to
squeeze in here!!

Of course, we had to decorate our mini pumpkins
we got from the pumpkin patch!!!

Our Princess, Sheriff, and Scarecrow!!!!

Then we got to go to the Moody Air Force Base Air Show
with just Booey and Big K!!
It was a blast and this was Big K's first time....
needless to say, this was one excited little boy!!!

I love how much she adores her Daddy!!!

My big guys!!!

This is the Lowndes County Dive and Rescue Team's
new van and rescue boat!!
Daddy is an avid scuba diver and just got
invited to be a member of the Rescue Team!!
We are so proud of him!!!!
They had a setup out at the Air Show this year!!
Go Boys!!!

Then me and my beautiful Princess went to Movie in the Park!!
They were showing Hook!!
We only made it about half way through the movie
because it was a little much for her,
but we both enjoyed the quality time and eating junk food on a
blanket in the dark in the park!! Ha!!

And of course, last but not least, Halloween!!!

October was a pretty grand month!!!
We went through so many changes and the boys both
matured so much!!
Lil' K started sitting up, eating baby food, getting on his knees
trying to crawl....man, it goes by too quickly.
And Big K really started talking SOOOOOO much more!!
It has been a blast October but now on to the month
that reminds us to be ever thankful for the many blessings
in our lives!!!!!
NOVEMBER!!!
