Most don't know this, well not until recently that is,
one year ago, Mike and I went in for our ultrasound to see how our surprise baby was
developing and how big it was. We would have typically found out the sex at this
visit but had decided not to since this baby was already such a funny little whoops for us!
We went in saw our beautiful baby, were excited, then Mike left to go to work while I finished up the appointment.
I went in to see my ob and got the most heart breaking news I could ever hear.(Second to when we found out we had a miscarriage the first time we ever got pregnant.)
"There is a possibility that your baby could have a birth defect or down syndrome. We need you to go see a specialist."
I was broken in that moment.
My insides ached.
I called Mike as soon as I had composed myself and made it out of the office.
I told my mother in law, my sister, my best friend and our church prayer warriors were
privately praying for us...but no one else knew about it.
I prayed so hard and then God washed my soul over with complete peace and I let it go.
I knew that He was in control of my life and that He works all things together
for good, no matter what the outcome may be.
2 weeks later we went in for our appointment, on Mike's 26th birthday, and they did a Level 2 ultrasound.
It was actually quite amazing!!
We saw every part of our baby in detail excluding the bottom because we really wanted to keep that a surprise (although we saw it accidentally for all of 2 seconds!)
And every trace of cysts that had been on our baby's brain had completely vanished!!! There was no sign of where they had even been!!
Hallelujah to the Lamb of God!
I can still feel His presence as I did that day when we got the news!!!
7 months later here we are with the biggest blessing God has ever given us,
a perfect, happy, wonderful baby boy!!!
Lil' K has been my heart every since they said the words, "It's a boy!!"
My heart overflows with the love and joy I have for this child because he is a daily reminder of God's love and faithfulness towards me.
Happy 7 months my Baby Love!!!
Happy 7 months my Baby Love!!!
