Adia and Kaleb's Birthday Party!!!

Well, I have not fulfilled my New Year's resolution to blog more!!  Ha!!  I am just now getting to Adia and Kaleb's Birthday party and it was almost a month ago that we had it!!  But life has been quite busy. Birthdays, buying a house (which I will do a super blog on later!!), Mike being gone out of town quite a bit, and we have all been taking turns being sick for going on 4 weeks now....on top of the normal every day at The Poppy House.  This mama is ready for a break!! But unfortunately a break is a long ways off.  

My mommy guilt has been haunting me like crazy lately.  I don't know how some people can keep up with everything....Maybe I just stink at it (ha!), or I could not be managing my time as well as I need to or maybe we have just seriously had SO much going on and this is completely normal...I will go with the latter, it makes me feel a little better at this moment.  Hahaha. 

So here we go:

Adia and Kaleb's Birthday Party 

This year, we decided to do Adia and Kaleb's birthday party together.  Their bdays are just a week and a half apart and I needed easy this year....I feel like I say that every year, lol...well last year I was pregnant and the year before that I had a ten day old newborn.....hmmm, well anywho, we needed easy once again!!!  

So we decided to have their party together and at the Wood Valley Community Center!!  

It turned out to be the perfect day!!!  It was so beautiful out....not too cold, not too hot!!  We invited just our closest friends (which among just our closest friends is 11 kids!!!  But our (and my) besties comes from large families!!  Hey, the more the merrier!!!) and our close family.  It was perfect!!!  We had so much fun and I must admit *I* had a good time too!!!  No feeling like I had to entertain everyone (including parents), no feeling of expectations needing to be met, no rushing....just pure fun with my best friends and all their babes!!!  AND a special shout out to 

Mr. Seth Megow for being the photographer that day!!!  That was the biggest blessing in itself....me not having to run around and try to capture all the awesome moments on top of keeping the party going!!!  So all of the pics you see here are from him!!  Thanks Seth!!!  :)

  Wow!!, 4 years old....seems like just yesterday I was going in to be induced with you, my firstborn.  I can still remember not sleeping that night from nervousness of what was to be expected from me the next day.....and here we are....4 years later.

   

Happy Birthday my Sweet Girl!!!  I am so happy that you are my #1 Princess!!  You make your Daddy and I so proud!!!  

   This past year has been full of many new beginnings for you.  A new baby brother and you started preschool!!  You love both of them so much!!  You are such a smart, intelligent child.  You amaze me at what you pick up on (quickly!) and understand.  You have a big heart and love intensely....I love that about you....you will find someone or something, fall in love with it, and then never let it go...you get that from both Daddy and me...we both love hard.

You are definitely my silly willy!!  You love to find things to make all of us laugh, especially Kase!!!  You will sing and dance and act all crazy just to get a giggle out of him!!  You and Kaleb are something else!!  You two can drive each other insane but he is the first person you ask about when you are away or when you first come home.  I hope you and him will grow up to be close.  He looks up to you so much.

I am constantly amazed at how beautiful you are.  You have always been such a pretty girl. But as you have gotten older, you have just become more and more beautiful everyday (even when you have crazy funky monkey hair!!!)

I love you so much Adia Renee.  You are the perfect balance to this life with all of these boys in it.  Between you and me, we seem to be able to keep them straight!!  I look forward to watching you grow this next year...It is so heartbreaking with each year that passes by, but I am so proud of who you are and look forward to what you are going to become!!!  You will always be Mama's #1 Princess, my love!!

Who is 2, You are 2!!!!

Happy Birthday to my Big Boy!!!

Kaleb,

   You will never know the amount of joy you bring into my life or how much I absolutely adore and love you.  You have opened up my eyes to the wonderful world of little boys!!  How amazed you can be over the simplest things. 

   

   

   This past year you have grown into such a vivacious big guy!!  I love watching you get so excited over monster trucks, mean mean motorcycles, firetrucks, police cars, helicopters....and any other type of loud form of transportation!!

   You always seem to know exactly what you want and when you want it!!  You can be demanding at times but for the most part you're so sweet and polite.  You love Mama to pieces but your best friend is your Daddy.  You two have a bond like none other.  I watch the way he looks at you and just see how proud he is of you and how excited he is for you to get a little older so you two can get into more "boy" trouble together!!  You and Adia are two peas in a pod!!!  You miss her so much when she isn't home!!  Yet when she is home, you two know exactly how to be the sweetest siblings ever and to absolutely drive the other one crazy!!  But at the end of the day, you guys are attached at the hip!!  You got a baby brother this year!!  Kase!!!  To watch you play with him and call his name, "Tase!!", is the most precious thing ever!!  I look forward to watching all 3 of you grow up together!!

   I am really excited about this coming year for you!!  I know you are just going to continue to grow and learn so much every day. I love you so much my son.  My heart breaks into pieces as you are getting older but I am so proud of the little man you are.

Kase is 9 months old!!

Here we are

9 MONTHS OLD!!!!

It's so unbelievable that in three months we will be 

celebrating a 1st birthday for my baby love!!

Oh how this time has just flown by!!

Kase has definitely blossomed this last month!!

Pulling up, walking along furniture, talking/babbling way more.

It's been so amazing how he has just developed so much in such a 

short amount of time.

We went in for his 9 month check up on the 14th

and he weighed 17.10 pounds and was 29 1/2" long.

The dr was a little concerned because he is in the 8th percentile for 

his weight.

I have known that he is a small little guy but not that he was THAT small.

So I have started making him eat more....really taking the time to sit down and feed him

more one on one.  But this child HATES baby food!!!

That is probably one reason he is small is because he has been so

content with breastmilk and eating regular food if/when he wants it.

He is really long for his age though, 80th percentile, but that is in his genes.

There are tall people on both me and Mike's side of the family and his 

big brother is really tall too. 

Thankfully he has started eating a whole lot more (even though

I do still fight to try and get a little baby food in) and when I took him to 

a dr visit on Friday, he had gained almost 1 whole pound in a week and a half.

So needless to say, he is fine and his weight and length will all catch up 

and even out before we know it!!  :)
